Before I start, I would like to say this is not based on any theological viewpoints. It is my personal opinion.
1. Children naturally seek joy and fun.
Growing up in California, USA, every year in October, we always saw fun Halloween decorations, other children dressing up and going trick or treating, and I remember that feeling of wanting to join in on the festivities.

2. Masjids, Islamic Centers and Islamic schools can provide alternatives.
Muslim spaces can do a fun activity for Halloween, maybe a movie night, and have candy and fun treats. Let the kids enjoy themselves in a fun setting!

3. Make it a way to connect with other friends!
Have a fun meaningful idea like these 2 girls!

Whether to celebrate Halloween or not is up to you. But I definitely think we can find creative ways to have fun and not lose our Muslim identity.
