All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad (saw) is His slave and Messenger. We do not see any harm for accepting donations from innovators for the mosque. However, one should be careful not to let their donation be a means for them to interfere in the affairs of the mosque. If this is their purpose, then it is more appropriate not to accept their donation and block the door of innovators. To conclude, there is no harm to accept donations from them, as there is evidence from the Sunnah that it is permissible to accept a donation from non-Muslims who may be worse than the innovators.Allaah Knows best.
