Topic: Ahaadeeth about preferred days for Hijaamah weak

Question 100276: Assalaamu alaykum, Shaykh. Is there any authentic hadith that speaks about particular sessions or days for Hijaamah (cupping)? If so then what is the wisdom behind such instruction?

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad (saw) is His slave and Messenger. There are some ahaadeeth that indicate performing Hijaamah on some particular days and forbid it on some other days, but all these ahaadeeth are weak, as was stated by Ibn Hajar in Fat-h Al-Baari, as he said after mentioning these ahaadeeth and commenting on them, "But all these ahaadeeth are not authentic; Hanbal ibn Is-haaq said, '(Imaam) Ahmad used to undergo Hijaamah at any time when his blood was agitated and at any hour.'" Allah knows best. (Source: islam_web) Classified in Noble Hadeeth > Sciences of Hadith
