Question 2043: Asallaam Allikom My question has to do with praying for something...what i mean is, does praying to Allah to allow something to happen have any effect on the outcome?I have been praying constantly for something very important to me and things have just been getting worse.I know that Allah knows best but I cant help but be very discouraged sometimes. So does praying to Allah about something actually make a difference?

2043 Dear Br. M. As-salaamu alaykum. Of course, when you pray to Allah in a sincere heart, He will inshaAllah respond to you. But always get the habit of asking Allah that if there is good in the matter you want, then let Him make it happen, and if there is bad in the matter you desire, then let Him keep it away from you and keep you away from it.
