It tells the story of the emergence of Arabic print culture that flourished in the printing houses of London and Oxford nearly a century after Gutenberg’s revolutionary press. It goes onto explore the interest in the Quran across major European cities during this epoch of wider fascination into Islamic scholarship. And ends by looking at the impact of Islamic astronomy on writers and thinking in England during a period of dramatic growth in scientific and religious understanding of the universe. https://media.islamicity.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/middle-temple-library-0-e.jpg <!--BLP-SHORTCODE-BEGIN--><a href="https://www.islamicity.org/88001/islam-astronomy-arabic-print-exhibition-at-middle-temple-library/"><img src='https://www.islamicity.org/wp-content/plugins/blueprint-timthumb/timthumb.php?src=https://media.islamicity.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/middle-temple-library-0-e.jpg&w=500&h=281&q=100' class="thumbnailpostcontent" ></a> <!--BLP-SHORTCODE-END--> https://www.islamicity.org/wp-content/plugins/blueprint-timthumb/timthumb.php?src=https://media.islamicity.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/middle-temple-library-0-e.jpg&w=500&h=281&q=100 Fariha Sikondari By: Fariha Sikondari   Source: Muslim Heritage Fariha Sikondari Muslim Heritage Featured, Highlights, Life & Society Arabic, Astronomy, Islam And Science featured highlights life arabic astronomy islam-and-science This article gives a brief overview of the new exhibition at Middle Temple Library, ‘Islam, Astronomy & Arabic Print’.
