Hello,
Assalamualaikum... Recently I've read a book named "Quran Bible and science" by Maurice Bucaille. Thowugh it has published many years ago. I have read the book in Bangla version. I like the book very much. The book proves Qur'an is the best book of the universe. But I would like to know- is there any missing or change in translation from the main language. Anyone can share the knowledge...? |

wa'alikum assalam, I really don't know. But here's a copy in English and it was reviewed by Dr Bilal Phillps.
http://d1.islamhouse.com/data/en/ih_books/single/en_The_Quran_and_Modern_Science_colored.pdf "Short Discription: The Quran and Modern Science: This book has statements of a scientific nature contained in the Quran and other subjects to specialists from other disciplines. Astronomers, zoologists, geologists and specialists in the history of the earth would all have been struck, just as forcibly as medical doctors, by the presence in the Quran of highly accurate reflections on natural phenomena." |

There are scientific mistakes in both books, unfortunately.

It's interesting to note that Bucaille never became a Muslim plus he was a medical doctor and not necessarily competent in everything scientific. In fact it is not difficult to show that the majority of so called scientific miracles are presumed on simple logical fallacies.

Permanent Barrier between Fresh and Salt Water
| Main Article: Meeting of Fresh and Salt Water in the Quran
When a fresh water river flows into the sea or ocean, there is a transition region in between. This transition region is called an estuary where the fresh water remains temporarily separated from the salt water. However, this separation is not absolute (thus cannot be described as a "barrier"), is not permanent, and the different salinity levels between the two bodies of water eventually homogenize. The Qur'an however erroneously says that the seperation between the two types of water is absolute and permanent. It is He Who has let free the two bodies of flowing water: One palatable and sweet, and the other salt and bitter; yet has He made a barrier between them, a partition that is forbidden to be passed. |
