Mishmish asked: "Why do Christians hate Muslims so much?" Authentic Christians don't hate Muslims at all, Mishmish. They don't hate anyone. Anyone can call themself a "Christian" and not really know what it means to be one. That is the very sad story about Christianity for so many people. This call themselves Christians because they don't know what else to say they are. But they are clueless as to what being a true Christian/Catholic means. It is a grevious sin to hate another human being, or to disrespect their faith. There is NO excuse for this behavior toward another person. I feel ignorance plays a big part. I have been greatly disrespected for being a Catholic.....I have learned to "kick it to the curb". I know what I believe, and no one can cause me to lose my faith. Jesus knew we would face insults and abuse. He warned us while he was still here on earth. So I more or less expect it, and I don't allow it to consume me....hurt a little, yes. But worth the pain, ABSOLUTELY! May Peace be always with you..... |

David and Angela, Usually I do not praise people in front of them but when I do it is in the form of a beautiful "backbite". I don't have to say anything about you two. Best Regards BMZ

David and Angela: My religion is very personal. It is the basis of my life. Every action I take every day is anchored in Islam. I am aware that every thing I say, every action, every deed is recorded and will be brought to witness for or against me on the Day of Judgement. There is no aspect of my life that is free of Islam. Perhaps this is why Muslims are more easily offended. And why most non-Muslims just don't understand. |

Hi Mishmish,
Yeah, Jesus would be OK but with the Muslim belief in the inerrancy of prophets I doubt it would come up in that way. I know a lot of Muslims feel that way. People being confused about my religion is something I expect - to offend me, somebody has to get personal. I'm sure you have had to straighten out a few anti-Christian Muslims just like I have had to stick up for Islam on quite a few occasions. I also imagine we have misstated things about each other's religions in those discussions, but I imagine the larger truth is advanced. |

Where are the True Christians, they are out there. They are out there just like the Good Muslims and Good Jews. Can you understand that perception is everything. All you see are adulterous greedy hypocrites in the Christians. Why? The Media. Hollywood and Liberalism. Wow, now what's the cause for Most people seeing only the evil in the Islamic community..... The media, Hollywood and Conservative pro Bush automatons. When anyone does something in the name of others and gets vocal enough about it, the other side seems to think that's the way things are.....You ask those questions. The answers are the same as what you give me when I ask the questions.

"True, Paul was as much a sinner as anyone" Shouldn't that be Jesus? Perhaps this would be a bit more offensive, yet closer to what we feel.

Mishmish, would you be offended - or even surprised - to read these statements in a popular Muslim magazine?
"True, the Bible does lack integrity," "Christianity has an undeniable dark side" "puts Christianity in a positive light whenever possible" "True, Paul was as much a sinner as anyone" I have heard all those statements (and worse) made here in one form or another and do not find them offensive. I expect Muslims to have a different viewpoint. |
