Daniel, what you said is beautiful and I agree.
Sorry I couldn't respond earlier, we snatched some time to visit Cordoba (always worth snatching whatever you can to experience this deeply beautiful city). As artists, and especially musicians, we are perhaps more susceptible to those dark caves filled with demons, than many people. Who was it said musicians seem to lack a layer of protective skin? I'm trying to remember if it was my much loved, and missed Yehudi Menuhin? Edited by Duende |

I'm up and around my wife and babies are coming back in the next few days. YES Definitely stress related I usually thrive on challenge and even stress. This was out of my hands. I'm a total control freak when I was younger I could handle fear and pain and even, though despairingly, accept my own imminent mortality on two or three occasions. Feeling helpless to protect my family. from your nutters and my nutters at the same time... I choked on it. There's a saying in hebrew hoshekh bah-einayim it means literally "a darkness in the eyes" That's where I was. I had this image in my mind like i was blind and lost in a great dark cave with all kinds of nasty little determined things flying around me up to no good at all. It could have been the fever. I think all this evil and hatred literally got under my skin for a bit. I totally lost my edge. We were and still are under the nagging and relentless influence of evil. While our separate religions have been hijacked from us by people who do horrible things in our name, I believe that as individuals true to our our faiths we are completely transparent and deeply loved by Allah. I suspect that he has given us each a separate piece of a great spiritual puzzle and that we are denying ourselves greatness by failing to learn from and share with each other. Inshallah you are right Daniel. I read today that Al Fateh have
reached agreement to actually dialogue with Hamas, so maybe there too, some sanity may prevail. By the way, how's your health finally? Was it all stress related? |

I sort of digressed from the subject here.
Regarding the little girls writing on the shells. This was not in the Israeli press until two days ago and heads are now rolling. We killed ten times the amount of civilians going after Hezbollah and Hamasniks in the last month than the amount of Israeli civilians killed by Hezbollah. There is a strange "respect" among our best warriors for the Hezbollah. Politicians are by nature cynical opportunists. Nasrallah even after losing his own son to us seems determined to annihilate us but somehow respectable and sane. He is of course our enemy he has done the most terrible damage to our moral and shaken our sense of invulnerability but he is not as hated as the lunatic running Iran who so far hasn't fired a shot. We could still turn this whole situation around. Us, the Hamas, the Hezbollah all to our various benefit. There are reasons I can't share with you (because I would be arrested rightfully for treason) that lead me to believe that if we can just avoid round two for another two months with out assassinating anyone or blowing ourselves up on a bus loaded with school children or shooting school girls in Palestine... People here might be ready to talk seriously about peace. The alternative is to be Jew and muslim the ultimate obnoxious soon to be unmarried couple who argue in public. |

I was working on three albums and Joey was taking an advanced Jujitzu
course in Haifa and we weren't counting on spending our summer in stinky old bombshelters. |

Bismillah, Why are you all separated? It is good to hate evil. It must be hard to remain focused on what is truly evil in your situation. Evil is anything that Allah would think is evil. Forgive yourself for momentary lapses. We are human. Allah forgives us when we repent, so we should forgive ourselves. Digestive enzymes like papaya help with stomach problems, and ginger tablets. Try not to eat things that would normally upset your stomach because they are worse right now. Deep breathing helps. And remember Allah's mercy and love. Salaamu Alaykum |
