Each pillar is as important as the others. One cannot be Muslim if one rejects even one of these pillars. Of course, Islam is much more than just 5 pillars, but they are the "essentials."
1. Faith in Allah (swt), 2. Prayer, 3. Charity, 4. Fasting and 5. Pilgrimage to Mecca. Reject one and you reject the others as well. |

Say: "Truly, my prayer and my service of sacrifice, my life and my death, are (all) for Allah, the Cherisher of the Worlds. (Surat al-Anaam: 162)

Hi everybody, I've been given an assesment question asking: 'Evaluate the importance of the Five Pillars of Faith to contemporary Muslims'. From what I have researched, each remains as relevant as it did in the 7th and 8th centuries. Anybody have any insight into this? I'd really appreciate this ASAP. Thankyou kindly |
