Truth_Light, I don't think your intention with the topic was for name calling, or anything purposely negative. I also think it is an important topic. It is a real concept. The Quran does speak of believers and non-believers. The right and the wrong path. We as Muslims should strive to remain on the correct path, and knowledge helps greatly to help us achieve that.
The subject of a Kufr is a complex study though because it invloves ALL of mankind, not just Muslims. Because we share the world with others that engage in other religions, Allah (s.w.t) gave us a basis on how we are to think and act towards such individuals.
60:13- O you who believe! do not befriend a people upon whom is Allah's wrath, who indeed despair of the Hereafter, as the Unbelievers despair of the Hereafter, as the Unbelievers despair of the inmates of the graves.
60:8-9: Allah does not prohibit you respecting those who have not fought you for the Religion, and who have not turned you out of your homes, that you show them kindness and act equitably towards them. Certainly Allah loves the equitable ones.
Allah only forbids you respecting those who have faught you for the Religion, and turned you out of your homes, and backed up in your being turned out, that you turn to them. And whoever befriends them- then these themsleves the wrongdoers.
Sister, when a muslim converts to Islam it is wonderful. I also embraced Islam due to pure monotheism that is found in Islam . The message that is found in Islam is so rewarding, that if all of mankind shared it the world would be so close to a utopia.
In order for the concept of Islam to get around to others in a universial manner, we have to accept that no matter what, people will embrace other religions. While this is a concept that has to be accepted, doesn't mean that we have to embrace any polythesist practice or say that any such action in other religions are ok, because it is not!
I do believe however, that a individual can achieve practicing a Monothesist faith that allows them to embace the Islamic way of life, but yet still by not practicing orthodox Islam, or carrying the title of 'Muslim'.
The hope of allowing more of mankind to embrace a monothesist faith, we can't start off by thinking that anything other then Orthodox Islam is wrong or a path that does not lead to the right way or carry misconceptions of a indivdual due to their faith alone. It also helps to keep in mind the fact that just like ALL muslims do not practice their faith the same way. We also have to keep this reality in mind. Not all Christians believe in the trinity. Not everyone that practices Hinduism believes in several 'Gods', Not only Muslims accept Muhammad (p.b.u.h) as the last prophet.
Truth_light, their are two statements you made in your post I want to address.

If I be a non-muslim, I can still do sins which Christianity believe Jesus has paid for his own flesh and blood, so why I accepted Islam, that forbids me to wear sexy attire, drink liquor, etc etc. and instead am wearing a black sack-like (as what most non-Muslim attributed to loose dresses Muslim women wore) garment, covering hair and all that ? WHY?

Yes, there are Christians that perform sinful actions, with the excuse of saying Jesus died for their sins, but not all. It is yet possible to be a Christian and know that sinning is wrong and be held accountable for their own actions. Their are many Christians that will agree to this and LIVE this lifestyle.

My grandfather and grandmother died as Christians and it really saddened me because I love them so much and I failed to take them with me to my new true path but what can I do? |
I don't know in which way your grandparents lived, or how they practiced their faith. Even though they died as Christians, they sill may have a chance of reaching Jannah.
Only Allah (s.w.t) knows.
