In another thread I was trying to find out why an angel and not GOD spoke to Mohammad and how the angel introduced himself. The reply was:
O Muhammad, thou art the Messenger of God, and I am Gabriel. He raised his eyes heavenwards and there was his visitant, still recognizable but now clearly an Angel, filling the whole horizon, and again he said: O Muhammad, thou art the Messenger of God, and I am Gabriel. The Prophet stood gazing at the Angel; then he turned away from him, but whichever way he looked the Angel was always there, astride the horizon, whether it was to the north, to the south, to the east or to the west. Finally the Angel turned away, and the Prophet descended the slope and went to his house.
I am trying to figure out where this info came from. Who added: He raised his eyes heavenwards and there was his visitant, still recognizable but now clearly an Angel, filling the whole horizon, and again he said

Didn't Moses speak to an angel through a burning bush and not directly to God himself? Perhaps the angel was a mouthpiece a type of mediator between man and God.... As far as who mentioend what, you got me.

Dear Old friend,
you are the one quoting and writing something, you should know where it came and who said it. And what is your purpose and question. That will be more fair to say.

Assalamu alaikum.
It was Ammar bin Yasir reporting what the holy Prophet told them. He was among the first Quraysh who accepted the much awaiting call to Monotheism as was then widely broadcasted by the Children of Israel. His parents were brutally murdered by Abu Jahl. Friendship |

no my friend I am not looking your faults as I have many of my own, for which I seek Allah's forgiveness. I was saying that only because, you quoted something without any referance, and asked a question. It would have been more clear if you have given some referance to it. So those of us who are not fimiliar with this know where to look!

First, an angel of the Lord appeared in the burning bush to get Moses' attention. Once Moses noticed that the bush was not being consumed, he began to investigate. Once God saw that he was attentive and not running away, he begin to speak to Moses directly from the burning bush.
