Hi Angel:
Yes, they kept insisting that Angela was not a true Christian, and that certain Christian denominations are cults.

I came in late here. Which groups did these people say were cults?

The statement did not come from a website, the websites were a different issue. That was a claim she made in a separate post. You can still see the edit under When in Rome, Do as Romans Do. However, the Moderators removed the comment itself.
There is no truth to the claims and I wouldn't post the sites anyway as they would obviously be full of lies. Just as I would never post a site that made false claims about Muhammed (pbuh) or any of the other key figures in Islam.

Angela, I have a dear friend who is a Mormon, and this is why I was amazed that a Mormon was here on this Islamic website. I have nothing against Mormons at all. I was simply wondering whether or not you were aware that there was, indeed, an oath taken by Mormons in the 19th century (in the Temple) that is no longer taken in the Temple ceremony at the present time. You see, Angela, my friend and I have an on-going discussion about the differences between her beliefs and mine, and one of the books I read, "All You Ever Want To Know About Mormonism," by Ankerberg, documents this very oath. Of course, the book points out that this oath has been removed from today's rituals. I think you have misunderstood the poster you mentioned - anybody who knows about Mormonism realises that this oath has been removed. If you have been a Mormon for only a short time, then I can understand why you are not aware of it. However, there are Mormon sites which do deal with this very topic. My Mormon friend would be glad to give you some resources you can contact if you want to. I mean no harm, and don't understand why my post above was edited. Is this a taboo subject or something? Ali

Ankerberg's book is Anti Mormon. Nuff said. Unless its written in official church literature, don't trust it.
