You are so rude, insulting person who does not care about others but yourself, i wonder if you have any friends at all with this attitude. You go around attacking people. Yes I know you DON'T care about anyone BUT yourself. Edited by Angel |

Dear Sister, Why don't you read some past posts on the topics you've mentioned? Most of us have been hit on the head with the rules. It's not personal. Well, it could be. But what's the point of taking it that way? Let's move on. Do you realize that Angel is not Muslim? Sister Hanan is, however. Here's an idea: We can say: What you said was rude and insulting because... I know it's hard really because I have topics that when people comment on them in totally senseless and cruel ways it gets my goat too. But hey, it's a machine. We can walk away and think about something before we post it. |

Bismillah irrahman irrahim Assalamu alaikum Sister im sure many people like me dint know the reason behind your big and bold font, and now that we know, no one is going to mind inshaAllah. One person's behaviour is not always representation of rest of community and if some1 slanders you then say khair and dont even reply. Alhamdulillah Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is giving you the chance of getting close to Him. First you get the good deeds of the person who has wronged you, second you get thwab for showing patience and letting it go. Lastly if you find it in you to forgive, alhamdulillah nothing is better than that because Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is Most Forgiving and He loves those who forgive others for His sake. I am not trying to put some1 down here, only explaining a very simple and alhamdulillah beautiful way of islam. We should all learn to control our ways and show politeness in the face of hostility. Because alhamdulillah that is the better way and calms situations so matters could be discussed and resolved. wassalam |

Salaam alaikum I thought I had unsubcribed from here? At any rate, Sister HerJihad and Fatima, thank you for your naseehah. Both of you are right. I should have been more calmer. I was shocked to see such a hostile post from some one who has never met me nor spoken with me online what so ever. Next time I will " be slow anger" as the Prophet sws has advised us to. I also did feel a bit attacked by the moderator. I felt that he was too harsh, and was singling me out. Perhaps he thinks I'm not a real Muslim. What's so confusing to me about me being admonished is that there was a young man who posted some very inapproiate language in the same discussion? And it appears that the moderator didn't agree with my views which is normal and to be expected however I thought moderators did not control the topics of content discussed unless particularly vile? And I will say that I'm not a very technologically inclined person, and am not very good using computers. So I wasn't aware that I had other options. My college studies didn't focus on technology except typing. Thank you for understanding, and encouragement. And I will read through some of the older posts on the subject. Although I think it would be wise to just lay low and refrain from comment. This was a good lesson for the naffs Salaam o alaikum ` |

As Salaamu Alaikum, If you use Internet Explorer, click on the View menu at the top, bring the mouse pointer pointer to Text Size and then select the option 'Largest'. I hope this helps. |

I think this website will be helpful for you. http://www.knpd.org/mittsfita/dokumenti/abilitynet_factsheet s/FreeforVisuallyImpaired.pdf The Windows 98/ME Magnifier Windows 98 and Windows ME have a utility that can enlarge part of the screen. If it is not to be found in the Start menu, under "Programs", then "Accessories" and finally "Accessibility" and called "Magnifier" then it will need to be installed from your Windows CD. When running there appears at the top of the screen a window that shows a magnified area of the lower screen. It will follow whatever is moving (although there are bugs that mean that it won't track as you type in MS Word and perhaps other packages too). Whenever the mouse is moved it will follow the pointer to include that part of the screen in the magnified window. Microsoft's Magnifier is really only useful as a backup for those who can see the larger of the fonts in the "High Contrast" colour schemes but who have difficulty reading certain dialog boxes (like the "Open File" dialog) that are unaffected by the larger font changes. |

Hi UmmAminata, I believe that would be for the islamicity newsletter not the forum. Anyway you don't need to do anything, if you want just leave and anytime you decide to come back just enter your name and password, providing you remember it |

Assalamu Alaikum, UmmAminata: I wanted not to respond here so that the matter may cool down. But, it seems it didn't while looking at the following link: http://www.islamicity.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=7302& ; ;PN=1&TPN=6 you falsely charged me for couple of things ( such as I was harsh whereas I was polite, that I thought you were not real Muslim, whereas I never commented on your religion, that you were visually impaired and wanted me to be sensitive whereas I had no idea that you were visually impaired and I was only enforcing rules meant for everyone at the forum ). Peace Edited by peacemaker |
