Editing comments

Brother Arabian Knight, I have nothing personal against you (if you believe me).

Anyone who posts things that are rude and offensive will have their posts edited. If someone posts something insulting towards you, I will edit that too. Insha Allah.

If rules are not maintained then anyone will insult everyone and there will be no peace here. Politeness is part of socialising. You have a right to express yourself, but politely.

And I am aware that I have to answer Allah for everything, even moderating.

You started this recent stuff Amah.. dont forget that..

in the thread "Pray he stays alive for trial" you deleted

"This post isnt worth the electrons used to transmit it to my computer"

And now in this Thread... you deleted somthing that was along the lines of " Discussing why some dogs have blue spots, somone may bring up about hijabs with blue polka dots"

The first one may have been a little PG-13 for you all - but the 2nd one was completly innocent.

... Polka Dotted hijabs sure do look tacky.. but I dont think I was being impolite or rude here. You edited my post with out provocation and that was out of line. So dont lecture me about politeness when you impolitly deleted my words.. to "Prove me Right."

Sorry this has taken a while as it needed some consideration.

Once a topic is started it is like a conversation. It will naturally take twists and turns, ebb and flow,  and sometimes evolve into something else. It would be impossible for us to close down every thread that deviated a little from the original topic as that would be most of the threads on the forum.

If you originate a topic and feel that it has gone too far afield from what you wanted, you can either: request yourself that the topic get back on course, start a new thread, or use the "Report" button to alert the Moderators and we can warn the posters, then shut it down. Sometimes we are not aware something has gone awry until we get a report about it.

Short of these choices there is not much we can do. The Moderators do not want to become the "Forum Police" by having to shut down every thread that naturally veers off topic, nor do we want you to feel frustrated if you think all of your threads are being hijacked. If you alert us to a problem, we will take care of it on an individual basis.

We hope this addresses your concern.
