My goodness, so we can't even have a moral and ethical position in the interest of safest course? "... to to have as little interaction with other people as possible." My focus isn't so broad. My concern is with hate speech. Let me say, I applaud the UK law which makes it a criminal offense to deny the Holocaust as hate speech. When reflecting on the atrocities of fascism, who but an evil and vile individual would assert it never even happened! Surely their only intention is to foment trouble/hate. Would you not agree? The Florida Pastor was advised by the highest levels of our government that his actions could place American lives in jeopardy. Young men and women fighting a counter-insurgency directly in harms way; attempting to win the hearts and minds of the Afghan people. He was counseled by faith based organizations throughout our nation against burning the Quran, but ignored both official warnings and those of fellow citizens. And he doesn't even bear moral responsibility? I think America should adopt a similar "hate speech" law as in the UK. The world is just entirely too dangerous to allow unmitigated hate. I am trying to figure out how this had to do with my initial post. Anyway since we have digressed from the original post I will comment. I support this preacher, even though his actions are counter-christian I believe all Americans have a right to freedom of speech. Yes indeed his speech endangered the lives of Americans but his behavior and the reactions that follows has exposed the kind of culture Afghans have. If Islam were to have any kind of face the world can only look at the reactions. When Muslims say "Islam is peace" and are adherents to such doctrine, how do muslims explain the murder of the people there for an action of one man? Where are the orthodox teachings? If Muslims there call themselves following orthodox teachings then their reactions do a poor job. Wasn't there a story where the prophet Muhammad had a lady dumped trash on him when he passed all the way until she was sick yet the prophet visited her and prayed for her? So if the world continues to dump trash on muslims are muslims simply going to dump the same trash back on them? The time for self responsibility starts now. Citing how much this psycho preacher was warned is no excuse for murder. Besides palestinians call (and do) stuff worse to Jews. Edited by Gibbs - 09 April 2011 at 5:49pm |

A United Nations commission says its facing obstacles from the Israeli government ahead of its probe of alleged war crimes during Israels three-week assault on Gaza earlier this year. The commission is probing allegations of war crimes committed by both Israeli forces and Hamas fighters. But inquiry head Richard Goldstone says his team will likely have to enter Gaza through Egypt, because Israel has refused to cooperate.
Richard Goldstone: It would have been our wish to start there, to visit southern Israel, Sderot, to go into Gaza through the front door to go to the West Bank, which is also included in our mission. I made a number of approaches to the Israeli ambassador in Geneva, even a direct approach to Prime Minister Netanyahu, but weve really received no official response.Goldstone says his team plans on holding public hearings for Gaza residents to share their testimony. More than 1,400 Palestinians were killed during the Israeli attack, most of them civilians. Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon said Israel will ignore the inquirys mission.

First off the sign of an ignorant person is the fact that you have to use profane language to respond. I wasn't crying, and actually Abuayisha, SignReader and many others here do the crying for me by them always posting articles how how muslims are victims. I was merely exposing how this forum shows double standards which really doesn't show true Islamic teachings. For instance, let's take your behavior for example. If indeed you are a follower of Muhammad why was profanity one of the first things that come out of your mouth? Not to mention insults? I didn't use profanity nor use insults towards Muslims I merely question behavior. I am so sorry but the world cannot easily separate people from religion, we live in a highly visual world where sometmez the look on the outside counts. Not to mention your tiresome attempt to show me proof about the Israeli state. Just because I am Jewish doesn't mean I am pro-israel, I am actually against it for the record, and seeing how you are new I guess you missed that post some time ago. But even though I am against it I am not pro-Jihad in getting it back. The fighting is over and done. The surroundig Arab countries had their chance and failed. So get over it! My wife is also Palestinian and although I respect her heritage and culture I definiely don't respect the hate within some of the people within that culture. Not only were they racist they didn't give me a chance to extend my arm for a handshake. I had to ask if they followed islam, and I was told yes, so much so that they pray five times a day, go to friday prayers and one of her brothers is studying to be a Scholar yet, they hate all Jews....hmmmm hate? Doesn't seem compatible with what Islam teaches right? That's a brief history about me for you, but more importantly my views on this preacher is apparent. I in any way, shape, or form, condone this preacher at all but he has a right to do whatever he wants, so long as he doesn't threaten or infringe the freedom of others. It shouldn't be against the law if someone denies the holocaust, or someone believing Muhammad was nothing more than a pedophile. All of these are forms of opinionated expressions and if the Afghan people are silly enough to listen and go berserk over some nutjob then it not only exposes the irrational mindset but the inability to cope with severe criticism of their religion. So while you guys cry "the preacher, the preacher" some people lost their lives because a few Afghan nut jobs cannot handle criticism. You guys wonder why people think Islam is a violent religion. Of course I make no attempts to criticize islam in any way shape or form but I do see double standards here, and you Issa are one of them. My original intent was indeed to come here and learn no to complain or cry about this or that but to sincerely learn. Now look what happens when I post a bit of that frustration this whole thread turns into about what some crazy preacher did. Instead of respectfully addressing the issue you guys turn it into who can whine the loudest. By the way Issa you're whinning win Abuayisha, and SignReader right behind you. |

Sorry I Didn't Read All Your Testimony I Careless About Your Personal Life . And If I WERE A Muslims I Wouldn't Be A Shame To Say It . And If I Were To Explain Where The So-called English Language Come From , I Might Get In A Little Trouble , With A Few People Here . But Hey When Your Looking For Excuses You'll Find One Right . Abuayisha, and SignReader Are Just Like You Looking For Pat On The Head / Someone To Agree WithThem All Awhile In Their Slick Way Insulting / Attacking Others . If You Have Thin Skin You Should Beware What Your Asking For . The Labeling Game It Out Dated , It Use By The Weak And Those Who Fear Other , Who Try To Get Other To Accept Their Close minded Thought . Meaning . You Three Like To Throw Rock And Hide Your Hands . O - By The Way Stop Lying You Came Here To Attack / Insult Muslim In Your Slick Way Like You Did In The Above Post . But When It Came Your Turn You Wanted To Pull The Picking On Me Card . Part Of You Nature To Play The Anti-Card Right . Edited by IssaEl999 - 10 April 2011 at 1:22pm |

Israeli Troops Fire on Palestinian ProtestsIn Israel and the Occupied Territories, four Palestinians were wounded Sunday near the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem. Israeli police fired rubber bullets and stun grenades at Palestinians who were trying to block a group of militant Israeli settlers from entering the mosque compound. Another seven Palestinians were arrested. The attack comes two days after Israeli troops disrupted a series of protests against the West Bank separation wall. Israeli police fired tear gas at demonstrations near at least three Palestinian villages: Burin, Nilin and Bilin. The demonstrators had tried to remove barbed wire placed around the wall when Israeli troops fired the tear gas. Report: Israel Conditions Palestinian Cellular Network on War Crimes ProbeIn other news, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz is reporting Israel has threatened the Palestinian Authority with revoking a vital cell phone network unless the PA drops a request for an International Criminal Court probe of alleged Israeli war crimes. The PA submitted the request after a UN inquiry found Israel had committed war crimes in its attack on the Gaza Strip and recommended a potential ICC investigation. Israel has reportedly warned it could judge the PAs request for a second cellular provider based on its willingness to withdraw the ICC demand. |
