While you�re lol�ing, I�ll note that the rabid cartoon protestors are the same wonderful forward thinkers who would keep you wrapped in a sack if not for the freedoms and protections extended to you in the Great Satan� the very place whose freedoms you exploit. You�ll excuse me then for dismissing the comments of a hypocrite.

What I find rather humorous, however, is that the entire MoTunes situation has exposed a rather monumental hypocrisy, not something unique to the Muslim community of course, but amusing nonetheless.

The restrictions on illustrating or creating images of Mohammed, for fear that they might encourage or elicit worship of islam�s prophet, represent the original offense here, as I understand it. Of course, far from being something intended to encourage worship of Mohammed, the cartoons in question were somewhat...critical, shall we say. In response, large groups of moslems rallied and protested at embassies, threatened to kidnap westerners, chanted (bizarrely) "Death to America", ineffectively boycotted Danish products, invaded sovereign Danish lands in Indonesia and eventually resulted in the deaths of up to 200 moslems and untold destruction of moslem property.

In response to fear of idolizing Mohammed, these individuals threaten violence and go on fiery rampages...in idolization of Mohammed and his reputation.
