The Holy Bible says that Noah had three sons and they all boarded the ark and were saved.

The Qur'an says that one of Noah's sons refused to get on the ark and drowned.

According to the Qur'an which son drowned?

Thank you.

If the Flood and Noah's story is a religious myth, as the story of Adam and Eve, why bother which son drowned?

Cyril,

I think the flooding in Noah's time was just local, not global. However, the good news is that Noah was rewarded with the Seven Great Commandments, the prelude to the Ten.

Where in the Qur'an does it say that it was just a local flood?

Peace

No one has answered my question.  Which of Noah's three sons died according to the Qur'an?

Thanks.

George,

From you: "Where in the Qur'an does it say that it was just a local flood?"

Where in the Qur'an does it say that it was a global flood?

It was not global. There were other decent humans living all over the globe, not just Noah and his people. Why would God go and destroy the entire humanity over the globe?

Noah's people disobeyed God, transgressed and they were destroyed by floods. Perhaps, they lived most likely in a narrow valley and with forty days of rains, the water from rain and underground springs and sub-artesian flow caused huge swelling floods.

Where do you get the idea that it was a local and not global flood?

In whose eyes?

Which one of Noah's three sons died in the flood--local or global--according to the Qur'an?

Peace

George,

From you in response to my point: "There were other decent humans living all over the globe, not just Noah and his people. Why would God go and destroy the entire humanity over the globe?

In whose eyes?"

There were Africans (the mother of all humanity), Chinese, Indians (Dravidians) and cavemen living in the Borneo, Malaya, Aboriginees in Papua and Australia. Scientists have confirmed that the Aboriginees in Australia have been living there for the past 40,000 (Forty thousand years). If that Great Deluge were global, they would have perished too.

In whose eyes?

My eyes, George!
