Why are you so faithful that an inscription by King sargon II determines the age of the buildings? Thats ridiculous. He could have easily inscribed them hundreds of years after they were built. It was quite a site to see and it is likely the king would have visited them or ordered his workers to inscribe his name there. Your claim's evidence is very weak.

@ TG12345 (The Quran's claim that the buildings carved out of rock were made by the Thamud during the time of Salih is false.) Answer: The Quran is not false, but archeologists who can only express opinions in accordance with their findings, even though there were human civilization has been destroyed before. -------- (However, the buildings are not homes, they were actually tombs. And what is worse, they were not built by the Thamud but by the Nabateans.) Answer: I believe more in the Quran (the words of Allah) than human opinions whose opinions come from the results of experiments that can be wrong and weak. Allah Ta'ala Said: وَتَـنْحِتُوْنَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوْتًا فٰرِهِيْنَ "And you carved skilfully some of the mountains to make houses;" (Quran 26: 149) وَكَانُوْا يَنْحِتُوْنَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوْتًا اٰمِنِيْنَ "and they carved houses out of a rock, (inhabited) with a sense of security." (Quran 15: 82) فَاَخَذَتْهُمُ الرَّجْفَةُ فَاَصْبَحُوْا فِيْ دَارِهِمْ جٰثِمِيْنَ "Then an earthquake came upon them (tsamud), and they died lying in their ruins." (Quran 7: 78) كَاَنْ لَّمْ يَغْنَوْا فِيْهَا ۗ اَ لَاۤ اِنَّ ثَمُوْدَاۡ كَفَرُوْا رَبَّهُمْ ۗ اَ لَا بُعْدًا لِّـثَمُوْدَ "as if they had never lived in that place. Remember, the people of Thamud deny their Lord. Remember, the Thamud perished." (Quran 11: 68) The sentence of كَاَنْ لَّمْ يَغْنَوْا فِيْهَا "as if they had never lived in that place." The sentence implies that previously there had been human civilization destroyed in the Hijr area (Thamud) ------ (They were built not before the time of Moses, but during the first century BC and the 1st century AD. During this time, the Nabateans built structures out of rock throughout their Kingdom.) (Most of the monuments and inscriptions of the archaeological site of Al-Hijr date from the 1st century BCE and the 1st century CE. But the inscriptions in Lihyanite script and some recently discovered archaeological vestiges are evidence for human settlement as early as the 3rd or 2nd century BCE. One-third of the tombs, which are amongst the largest, are clearly dated to between 0-75 CE.) Answer: That's right, because what was discovered was a relic of the Nabataean civilization After the Thamud tribe disappeared. The Thamud tribe is the predecessor of Nabatean which has the same ability to carve stone walls. And after the tribe of Tsamud was destroyed, the Nabataean tribe occupied it and the Nabatea tribe sculpted the remaining buildings of the Thamud tribe with their architectural style. Thus the stone wall carved by the Tsamud tribe has been repeatedly chiseled over several civilizations, so that the carvings that are seen today is the youngest. ------- (The buildings that Muhammad and his men came across were not built by the Thamud before the time of Moses, but by the Nabateans who built it between the 1st century BC and 1st century AD. *) (*They were also tombs, not houses as Muhammad and the author of the Quran evidently believed.) Answer: What was conveyed by the Prophet Muhammad to his followers about Al Hijr is about human civilization that has been destroyed (Thamud). This is one proof that the Quran can provide information about events in the past. |

Firstly please understand , whatever Prophet Muhammed(PBUH) told, never goes wrong. There are so much things in which scientists had a different opinion at first. Finally they agreed to what told by Quran. So science and archeology can go wrong but the words of Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) is always correct. The Qur'an is always correct. Do we have any surety that after 1400 years that those houses which is in the Hadith is not destructed by any other natural disasters ? Or is there any surety that archeologists always tells the truth ? Or is there any surety that the group of archaeology team who gone for research were not atheists ? . Only ALLAH knows best and what Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) told is correct.

I know this is a late reply, but you're ignoring the forest for the trees. The real question is how did Muhammad know a loud enough sound could kill you? Sonar weapons hadn't been invented.

Who cares about the age of buildings or who built what. I'm still shook that Muhammad knew loud enough sounds could kill. The Quran says Thamud was destroyed by a loud sound....whoever they might have been.
