	George, Your simple question: "Which of Noah's three sons died in the flood according to the Qur'an? It really is a simple question. Please answer it." My answer: Qur'aan does not name the sons of Noah and it does not even name the one who drowned and died. All I know is that a son of Noah died and the cause of death was drowning. Perhaps, you can find out from the Bible. Qur'aan also does not tell us the number of sons, Noah had. You are welcome. Edited by bmzsp

The Prophet Noah lived during a time so corrupt that God decided he had to wash the earth clean of humanity�s prevailing sinful nature [1]. God warned Noah of his plan because the Prophet was full of �honesty and virtue,� and therefore Noah�s seed would be used as the basis for a new humanity [2]. The earth was to be submerged under water for forty days, during which time all humanity would be drowned, save Noah and his family [3]. Noah was instructed to build the Ark (Safina) by the exact measurements God provided him [4], and inside there was to be made room for �two of every kind of animal� [5]. Noah faced difficulties while constructing the Ark. Iblis came to frustrate him in the form of a wild boar, but God used the blood of Noah�s toil to create the Lion which chased the devil away [6]. The people of the earth mocked Noah for building the seemingly unnecessary boat, and they laughed at his warnings concerning God�s wrath [7]. Noah advised the people to head his counsel, he even pleaded with God to be merciful because his son was one of the disbelievers; but God rebuked Noah saying, �So beseech Me not concerning that of which thou hast no knowledge� [8]. When the waters of the earth began to swell, and Noah�s wife�s �bread-oven . . . poured forth boiling water,� Noah knew it was time to enter the Ark [9]. The sea rose quickly and covered even the highest mountains � all drowned except for those in the Ark. After forty days God commanded the waters to recede and the great ship came to rest �on the mountains El Judi� [10]. Therefore, all mankind traces their lineage through the Prophet Noah.

Noah said: "This day nothing can save, from the command of Allah, any but those on whom He hath mercy! "And the waves came between them, and the son was among those overwhelmed in the Flood. PICKTHAL: He said: I shall betake me to some mountain that will save me from the water. (Noah) said: This day there is none that saveth from the commandment of Allah save him on whom He hath had mercy. And the wave came in between them, so he was among the drowned. SHAKIR: He said: I will betake myself for refuge to a mountain that shall protect me from the water. Nuh said: There is no protector today from Allah's punishment but He Who has mercy; and a wave intervened between them, so he was of the drowned. The Surahs above say that one of Noah's sons drowned. BMZ is your argument that Noah had four sons and the fourth one died even though the Jews claim that Noah had 3 sons? Why would the Jews hide the fourth son? The Jews certainly are not kind to themselves in their scriptures. An errant son would just be one more errant son among many. Maybe you could come up with a more plausible explanation. Peace

When did I say that there was a fourth or a fifth son? I don't even trust the Jews when they say Noah had three sons. Except the BIBle, there is no other reliable evidence. George, by the way, if you wish to quote me any verse, please quote me from any one translator. One would suffice.
